muvee autoProducer, Version 5

The latest update to muvee autoProducer, Version 5, will let you shoot a video of your friends and family and within minutes - have a finished movie.

When muvee first came out 5 years ago, there was nothing else that could edit home movies with the click of a button.  Version 1 was absolutely amazing - you could edit 30 minutes of tape by making a few choices and hitting

the “make muvee” button,  which would give you an “edited” movie synched to the music of your choice.    At the time it was take it or leave it with little in the way of options.

Muvee has since made significant advancements.  While not a professional tool, it’s a great way to make good looking movies quickly and have fun doing it!.  The intelligence has been improved and its input  and output options are better than ever.  This version of muvee autoProducer also expands upon the users ability to have some input regarding the final video.

There are three basic steps.  Pick your movie or photos, your music and the style of muvee you want.  Styles are the ways in which muvee edits your video.  For example, over-the-top music video is fast paced which works well with pop music for a high energy video with fast cuts and transitions, while the Velvet Smooth style is slow paced with long dissolves to evoke emotion.

Step 1 is where you capture your video.  You have full control of your camcorder at this time.

Once your video is captured you can add music, titles and if you like, change your settings and make your muvee.

You can choose to have muvee fit your production to the music length, let muvee try to get the

“best fit” or you can define the length yourself.

.

Once you finish with your settings make your muvee by clicking the “Make muvee” button.   Now you can preview your muvee and fine tune it as needed.

Once your muvee is made you can fine tune it by adding, changing or deleting scenes or photos manually or telling muvee how you would like to do it.    There are three tweak muvee options where muvee has added some functionality.  You can tell muvee that you don’t like a particular picture or video segment and ask it to change it for you or you can make the change manually.

Once you’ve tweaked your muvee its time to re-make it and save it or burn it to disk.  You can burn your muvee to a DVD or CD or you can output it back to your DV Camcorder.

This version of muvee autoProducer also adds the ability to import and export more audio and video types.  For those who have a lot of video tapes piling up at home and have limited time - this is great solution to get a quick video made out of them to share with friends and family.  You can visit www.muvee.com and download version 5 for a 15 day free trial.
